In the early spring of 2020, the life of 41-year-old Alkhenala Al-Fatah, a Black male from Southeast Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, March 9th, at approximately 9:53 p.m., Al-Fatah was shot multiple times in the 1200 block of Barnaby Terrace, Southeast. The following morning, on March 10th, at around 9:30 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about an unconscious person and discovered Al-Fatah at the scene.
