In the pre-dawn hours of a Thursday in Washington, D.C., a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Southeast neighborhood. On September 12, 2024, at approximately 3:10 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 300 block of Parkland Place, Southeast.
