In the early morning hours of November 14, 2023, the life of 27-year-old Trevon Anthony Smith, a Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically cut short. Just before 4 a.m., officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Greenbrook Trail on the city's far east side after receiving a report of a person shot.
