On March 23, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Cheyenne Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 100 block of King Court. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Cortaevius Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid until medical personnel arrived and transported Williams to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
