Frederick James Bacolini, a 77-year-old man, died on April 14, 2020, after a shooting inside the home where he lived in the Nāpili area near Lahaina, Maui. That Tuesday night, just after 8:00 p.m., an argument erupted between Bacolini and his housemate, and people nearby reported hearing the confrontation intensify right up to the moment a single shot rang out.
