In the summer of 1910, the city of Birmingham was robbed of one of its protectors. Police Officer Loner Denson Camp, a 25-year-old male, was gunned down on Sunday, June 19, while investigating reports of illegal gambling. His determined efforts to uphold the law ultimately cost him his life, leaving a void in the community and in the hearts of his loved ones.
