Death by Force

Israel Jerome Crockett Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 17, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred when Darius Ellis, also 20 years old, accidentally shot Crockett while playing with a weapon. The shooting took place in the 6700 block of Ford Street around 7:45 p.m. Crockett was immediately transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
