On December 16, 2018, the life of 58-year-old Debbie Jo Whitaker came to a violent end in Caruthersville, Missouri. Known to friends and family as 'Debbie Jo' and formally as Dovie May Green, the female victim was a dedicated home health care nurse who had returned to Southeast Missouri in 2003. She was a member of the Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, where she was known for her charitable spirit and nurturing nature.
