In the late summer afternoon of September 3, 2022, a wave of violence shattered the calm of a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood, claiming the life of 35-year-old Justin Jarell Taylor. At approximately 1:45 p.m., the sound of rapid gunfire echoed through the 4200 block of Inglenook Street. When the barrage of bullets ceased, Taylor and another man, 32-year-old Rodriquez Powell, were left unresponsive inside a vehicle.
