Death by Force

On April 20, 2016, at approximately 11:47 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1500 block of Lomb Avenue Southwest. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old James Bennefield of Cullman, Alabama, lying in a driveway with apparent gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
