In the early evening of a spring day in East Jefferson County, a verbal disagreement between two men escalated into a physical fight that ultimately claimed the life of DeAndre Montray Hollice. The 31-year-old man was shot during the altercation, which occurred on Town and Country Circle.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:00 PM. Upon arrival, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies found Hollice suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was quickly transported ...
