On September 5, 2022, at approximately 5:55 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a shooting at The Quest Club, located at 416 24th Street South in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 45-year-old Michael David Lyle from Cleveland, Alabama, was found unresponsive inside the club and was pronounced dead at the scene.
