On April 25, 2014, 36-year-old DeKova Jemille "Doc" Harris was found shot to death alongside 27-year-old Sharday Ware at a residence on the 1300 block of 57th Place Ensley in Birmingham, Alabama. The tragic discovery was made by Ware's 7-year-old daughter. Both victims had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
