On November 18, 2021, 62-year-old Robert Benson was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North, where Benson was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene. The Birmingham Police Department initiated a homicide investigation, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the motive remains unclear.
