In the late afternoon of a Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama, 33-year-old Justin Lee Henry Grant was inside his vehicle on Wood Station Drive near 1st Avenue South when his life was violently cut short. On November 21, 2024, in what police have described as a targeted shooting, Grant was ambushed. The attack was sudden and brutal, with between 15 and 20 shots fired, possibly by multiple assailants, leaving Grant with numerous gunshot wounds.
