Death by Force

On June 20, 2024, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1500 block of 18th Street North. Upon arrival, they were met by two Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies who had been in the area, possibly serving an eviction notice, when a community member alerted them to the victim.
