On June 28, 2013, 17-year-old African American twin brothers, Jonathan and Jeremi Berry, were tragically shot and killed in their Birmingham, Alabama home located at 736 Attalla Street in the Wylam neighborhood. Their mother, LaTasha Berry, was also shot during the incident and sustained injuries that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
