Ricky Parker, a 58-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was shot and killed on February 2, 2018, in a residential area of the city. Police responded to reports of gunshots fired in the 600 block of 6th Avenue North, where they discovered Parker lying unresponsive in a driveway. Despite efforts by emergency responders to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
