In the winter of 2021, a tragedy unfolded in a Birmingham, Alabama, home that resulted in the death of 13-year-old Jeremiah Pruitt. On the evening of Tuesday, December 21st, emergency services were called to a residence in the 1500 block of 51st Street in Ensley. First responders discovered the young male in the front yard, unresponsive. He was quickly transported to Children's of Alabama, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
