On December 21, 2021, 13-year-old Jeremiah Pruitt was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at a private residence in the 1500 block of 51st Street Ensley. Responding officers found Jeremiah unresponsive in the front yard. He was transported to Children's of Alabama hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
