On November 23, 2020, at approximately 3:18 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 2010 48th Place Southwest in the Ensley area. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 48-year-old Jonathan Dee Jackson of Hueytown, was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of a vehicle.
