In the spring of 2022, just weeks before he was set to graduate from Carver High School, 17-year-old Dwaine Thomas was tragically killed. A promising young man, Dwaine played baseball and was in the process of securing an athletic scholarship for college. He had attended his prom only a short time before the incident that would cut his life short. His plans to become an electrician, with classes already underway, held the bright promise of a future that would never be realized.
