Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed while sleeping inside his vehicle in the 700 block of 8th Terrace W.
Birmingham police Lt. Sean Edwards tells us the victim, who died at the scene, has been identified as 33-year-old Marvin Patrick of Birmingham.
Neighbors heard gunshots around 11:35 a.m. Monday. Edwards says Patrick was asleep in his car when someone came up and fired several times into the vehicle, striking him once in the shoulder.
