In the quiet neighborhood of Wylam in Birmingham, Alabama, a horrific act of violence shattered the peace on June 28, 2013. Inside their home, 17-year-old twin brothers Jeremi and Jonathan Berry were brutally murdered. Their mother, LaTasha Berry, was also shot and left for dead, but miraculously survived the vicious attack, albeit with life-altering injuries. This tragic event unfolded as a home invasion that would leave a lasting scar on the community. Jeremi Berry was a 17-year-old male.
