On a cold December evening in 2012, the life of 34-year-old Yrral Torrance, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the night of December 10th, police were called to the 5800 block of Ellington Street in the southwest part of the city. There, in the front yard of a residence, they discovered Torrance's body.
