On June 12, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from Birmingham's South Precinct responded to reports of gunfire at the High Point Apartment Complex, located at 1237 Beacon Parkway East. Upon arrival, they encountered a large group of individuals fleeing the pool area. In the parking lot, officers found 24-year-old Frankie Keonta McDonald suffering from a gunshot wound, with several bystanders attempting to provide aid.
