On June 8, 2019, 48-year-old Melvin Mobley was found unresponsive in a bedroom at a residence on the 4400 block of 46th Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to an assault call around 12:33 a.m., Birmingham Police officers discovered Mobley had succumbed to injuries sustained during a domestic altercation. The Jefferson County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
