On July 18, 2021, 40-year-old Bryant Terrell Myers of Fairfield, Alabama, was fatally shot at the Spur Convenience Store located at 945 Pike Road in Birmingham. At approximately 9:00 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Myers unresponsive next to a black Dodge Challenger, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving attempts by a good Samaritan, Myers was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel.
