On September 22, 2022, at approximately 8:46 a.m., Birmingham 9-1-1 received a call reporting a person down in the 4100 block of 43rd Avenue North. Upon arrival, East Precinct officers discovered 66-year-old Birmingham resident Curtis Alvis Ware suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and declared Ware deceased.
