On June 13, 2018, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the 3300 block of Avenue D in the Ensley neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Jamal Deondre Davis inside a wrecked car, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite immediate medical attention, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
