Omari Houston, aged 28, was shot and killed in Chicago on August 19, 2007. The incident took place near the intersection of West Lake Street and North Halsted Street, during the early morning hours. The circumstances surrounding the homicide involved multiple individuals, including Bryant Buckhanan, who was later charged and convicted of first-degree murder for his role in the shooting.
