On September 25, 2016, 4-year-old African American male Rodriquez Ferguson was tragically killed in Birmingham, Alabama. While playing outside his grandmother’s home in the Ensley neighborhood, he was struck in the head by a stray bullet during a dispute between adults over a cellphone. The young child was transported to Children’s Hospital of Alabama, where he succumbed to his injuries.
