Death by Force

On March 13, 2024, 56-year-old Willie Carr was fatally shot during a family barbecue at a residence in the 1100 block of Cotton Avenue Southwest in Birmingham, Alabama. The gathering turned tragic when an attendee, identified as 30-year-old James Burdette, became angry and began firing shots, striking Carr. Emergency responders pronounced Carr deceased at the scene.
