On November 9, 2014, 26-year-old Vincent Perez Chancellor was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred during an attempted robbery while Chancellor was seated in his car with his girlfriend. The assailant approached the vehicle and demanded money at gunpoint, leading to Chancellor's death from a gunshot wound.
