On September 3, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, 32-year-old Rodriquez "Dreke" Powell and his cousin, 35-year-old Justin Taylor, were fatally shot while seated in a Ford Mustang on Inglenook Street. A small sedan approached their parked vehicle, and an occupant opened fire, resulting in a hail of gunfire that claimed both men's lives.
