On June 14, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Birmingham police officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1500 block of 29th Street Ensley. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Anthony Bernard Jackson Jr. unresponsive inside a pickup truck, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
