On September 12, 2015, 33-year-old Antonio Mathews was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the Loveman Village housing community, specifically near 119 Taft Court Way. Following the shooting, a family member transported Mathews to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
