On May 25, 2020, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a shooting at the Forest Hills Village Apartments on Tempest Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old Patrick Watson Jr. unresponsive in the living room, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite medical assistance from Birmingham Fire and Rescue, Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.
