Police Officer C.C. Solomon, a 46-year-old member of the Selma Police Department in Alabama, lost his life in the line of duty on November 25, 1946. The incident occurred when Officer Solomon and another officer attempted to arrest a man at his home for burglary. During this confrontation, Officer Solomon was fatally shot.
