In the line of duty, Selma Police Officer C.C. Solomon, a 46-year-old Caucasian male, lost his life on November 25, 1946. The fatal encounter occurred at 1112 Morgan's Alley in Selma, Alabama, when Officer Solomon and his partner attempted to arrest a man in connection with a burglary.
