In the summer of 2017, the community of Selma, Alabama, was shaken by the violent death of 17-year-old Christopher Devon Lee III. A promising young athlete known for his skills on the basketball court at Ellwood Christian Academy, his life was cut tragically short on the evening of July 3rd. The incident, which occurred as a result of gun violence, left friends, family, and the wider community in mourning for a life filled with potential that would never be fully realized.
