In the fall of 2008, the life of 19-year-old Demarcus Lee Ferrell was cut tragically short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of September 30th, Ferrell left his family's apartment in the Roebuck neighborhood with two acquaintances. Not long after, reports began to circulate that the white Crown Victoria he was driving was being pursued by another vehicle, with its occupants firing shots at him. His mother, filled with a sense of dread, began a frantic search for her son throughout the city ...
