On January 20, 2014, 20-year-old James Winters was fatally shot in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident occurred on Patton Road, where Winters was found with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Following the shooting, Huntsville police arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide. The individual was charged with capital murder, indicating that the crime involved aggravating factors such as robbery or another felony offense.
