On the evening of April 26, 2025, Huntsville, Alabama, was shaken by a tragic incident that claimed the life of 31-year-old Darren Jamar Cole. The shooting occurred just after 7:00 p.m. on Sparkman Drive, a busy area in the city. Huntsville Police Department officers responded to reports of a possible shooting in progress and arrived at the scene to find Cole suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, the 31-year-old male did not survive his injuries.
