On March 23, 2014, 20-year-old Lawrence Alan Williams Jr. was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 3800 block of Melody Drive in North Huntsville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations by the Huntsville Police Department's Major Crimes Unit led to the arrest of 22-year-old Jebree Devaile King, who was charged with capital murder in connection with Williams' death. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from an argument earlier that evening
