On a cool Halloween evening in Huntsville, Alabama, the festive atmosphere at the Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Recreation Center was shattered by an eruption of gunfire. When the chaos subsided on that night of October 31, 2011, 20-year-old Christopher Antonio Collier, a male resident of Huntsville, lay dead.
