On August 5, 2025, in northwest Huntsville, first responders were called just before 3 p.m. to a house fire at 1115 Retlaw Street. Inside a bedroom, they found a 21-year-old man and his son, 1-year-old Adonis Kane Tucker, male, both beyond help. The fire left little visible damage outside the home, underscoring what investigators soon determined had happened inside before flames were reported.
