On October 8, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Huntsville Police Department (HPD) officers responded to a shooting incident at the Brixworth Apartments located at 6620 Old Madison Pike. Upon arrival, emergency medical services transported two individuals to the hospital. One of the victims, 24-year-old Quentaveis Shaquan Fletcher, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim sustained minor injuries and was subsequently released.
