In a tragic turn of events on an April afternoon, a verbal dispute escalated into fatal violence, claiming the life of Damian Kenneth Collins Sr. a 40-year-old man from Huntsville, Alabama. The incident unfolded on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in the 4800 block of Blue Haven Drive. Collins was discovered with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The altercation that led to his death occurred in the driveway of his mother's home, with both his mother and son present at the time of the shooting.
Huntsville Police Department's Major Crimes Unit swiftly launched an investigation into the shooting. Their inquiries led them to identify 47-year-old Jason Everett Moore as the suspect. Investigators believe the shooting was the unfortunate outcome of a heated argument between Collins and Moore. Moore was subsequently arrested and charged with the murder of Damian Kenneth Collins Sr. He was booked into the Madison County Jail following his arrest.
