On June 27, 2017, 45-year-old Percy Corn Jr. was fatally shot during a home invasion at his residence on Barbra Drive in Huntsville, Alabama. According to his wife, an assailant entered their home around 11:30 p.m., demanded money, and, after receiving some, insisted on more before shooting Corn in the chest. Despite prompt emergency response, Corn succumbed to his injuries before paramedics arrived.
