In the early hours of a Tuesday night in Huntsville, Alabama, the stillness was broken by a discovery that would mark the city's first homicide of 2017. A person was found lying on the ground on Callahan Drive, prompting a call for medical assistance. When officers arrived at the 2500 block of the street just after midnight on February 8, 2017, they found 29-year-old Marcus White, who had died from a gunshot wound.
