On the evening of March 3, 2025, a dispute between neighbors at a Huntsville, Alabama apartment complex culminated in the shooting death of 53-year-old Demetrius Jones. The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. at the Belmont Hill Apartments on Martin Road, where Jones was found with gunshot wounds in the doorway of his apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene.
