Demetrius Antonio Jones, a 53-year-old African American man from Huntsville, Alabama, tragically lost his life on March 3, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. at an apartment complex on Martin Road, where officers from the Huntsville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered Jones in the doorway of his apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
